To carry a loaded handgun in Maryland, state law requires that you must first have a Handgun Permit (HGP) issued by the Maryland State Police. After two years from the first issuance, and every three years after renewals, every license holder must complete a new 8-hour renewal course. This class meets all MSP requirements for licensure and proudly includes much more information necessary to use, carry, and responsibly have a handgun. In-depth learning and discussions about self-defense law and practical carry skills are central to this course. We will also teach effective learning strategies to ensure you can continue to improve your shooting on your own and vet future instructors should you choose to continue your firearms journey.
Guns, ammunition, and protective equipment is provided with the course fee as required.
